As the end of the school year approaches, you may be wondering about ways to continue volunteering during the summer months. While GBJCL does not offer a summer program, we are happy to point you in the direction of organizations that do. Here are a few ideas:

  • Tenacity: a unique program combines tennis and reading.  Tenacity seeks volunteers who are able to commit 35 hours in 2 consecutive weeks over the summer. Volunteers must attend trainings on June 30 and July 1. To apply, click here.
  • 826 Boston: Children interested in exploring creative and expository writing come to 826 Boston to improve their skills. Volunteers are needed to lead workshops, tutor, and share their expertise in a variety of subjects. To learn more, or to sign up for an orientation session, click here.
