Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) is pleased to announce the availability of Professional Development/Learning Grants for professionals who work with Jewish teens.
The Professional Development/Learning Scholarship Program covers some or all of the following expenses, with receipts:
- Event/program registration fees (excluding late registration fees)
- Lodging expenses
- Meals/incidentals
- Ground transportation
- Transportation expenses
Scholarships are not transferable and can be used only for professional development and professional learning related to an applicant’s responsibilities serving the Jewish community in Greater Boston.
Dependent on available funds, a maximum of $1,800 is available for allocation between Jan. 1, 2021, and June 30, 2021. Opportunities may take place online or in person, and may be offered by a Jewish or non-Jewish source, as long as the applicant can demonstrate how the opportunity identified stands to benefit their continued work as a Jewish professional. Professionals need to apply before the professional development opportunity takes place.
Please complete the Professional Development Grant Application and follow the instructions to include any necessary attachments.
You will be notified within two weeks as to whether you will receive a grant. If you receive a grant, you or your hosting organization will be reimbursed for the expenses indicated in your confirmation email. You must submit your receipts within four weeks of completing the program. Please note that it can take up to six weeks for checks to be processed after all documentation and receipts have been received.
If you receive confirmation that you will receive a scholarship, you will need to save and submit documentation including: 1) your registration for participation in the program, 2) any related receipts (itemized receipts are required) and 3) an evaluation including at least one photo of you participating in the professional development/learning opportunity.
If you are interested in developing your skill set and are not sure what the best programs for your individual needs might be, please speak with your supervisor or contact Margie Bogdanow for suggestions tailored to your personal skill set and professional trajectory.
