Metrowest Jewish Day School (MWJDS) is proud to announce the creation of the Jewish PROFET (Professional Employee Tuition) program, which offer a 50% tuition discount to all those who work full time for the Jewish community as clergy, Jewish communal professionals or educators.
The name of the program, PROFET, derives from the Hebrew expression that claims one can’t be a prophet in one’s own city. It is in reference to the fact that many Jewish professionals, including teachers at Jewish Day Schools, cannot afford to send their children to Jewish Day Schools.
“It is unfortunate that the most ardent supporters of Jewish education, Jewish professionals, often feel they can’t afford a Jewish Day School education for their children,” says Ceceley Chambers, Director of Institutional Advancement, “the MWJDS PROFET program seeks to remedy that by making tuition more within reach of those who serve the Jewish community.”
MetroWest Jewish Day School strives to present a safe and nurturing environment where children learn and grow to their fullest potential. At MWJDS, each child’s education is an individual experience with equal emphasis on their own accomplishments and their engagement within the community. The key to our success is a first class general studies education within the context of Jewish values and culture.
