An estimated 3 million Ukrainians have fled to other countries in search of safety, and there are many who haven’t left still in need of food, clothing and shelter. Center Makor’s primary purpose is to serve Jews in New England resettling from countries formerly under Soviet control. But since the crisis in Ukraine, we are leading a mission to collect protein bars, warm socks and thermals for the Ukrainian forces.
Center Makor president Vladimir Foygelman, who is from Kiev, said all donations will help. “Of course, we cannot provide rifles, but we can support humanitarian causes. And defense [to] help those who are defending Ukraine,” he said.
