The Boston Synagogue is excited to announce open registration for its Sunday School for the 2010-2011 academic year! The curriculum is designed for children ages ranging from Pre-K (starting at 4-years-old) through Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation. Our Hebrew School will meet once a week on Sunday mornings at the synagogue starting on September 19th, 2010.
Our Hebrew School offers a well-rounded curriculum that is based on learning as fun and recognizes diveristy. We have an integrated program covering Hebrew, Bible stories, history, and other Jewish topics including holiday customs in a supportive and engaging way that is age appropriate. The school offers a high quality, nurturing experience along with personalized attention, with small classes.
There will be programs and celebrations for kids and their families throughout the academic year — Plans include a Sukkot Community Gathering with the WECC, Chanukah Party, a mock family Seder, and more!
The Boston Synagogue is an unaffiliated, traditional egalitarian synagogue – and is a wonderful spiritual and cultural alternative for those living in downtown Boston, Charlestown, Beacon Hill, West End, the North and South Ends, Waterfront, Museum Towers, Cambridge and surrounding communities. It is a warm, joyful neighborhood community that is inclusive, with women, men and children actively participating in its services. It welcomes individuals and families wherever one might be on their spiritual journey, including interfaith families.
