Do you have memories of The Boston Synagogue? We’d love to hear from you!
In May 2013 our synagogue will celebrate its 125th anniversary. Part of this commemoration will be a publication recounting the history and growth of what is now the only fully functioning synagogue in downtown Boston.
The synagogue would like to hear from you if you have memories or documents (especially photographs and invitations to weddings and bar and bat mitzvahs) relating to the synagogue. We also expect to conduct interviews online or by telephone with people whose accounts of the synagogue and the Jewish community in the old West End neighborhood of Boston would enhance the content of this publication.
Any items used in the compilation of this publication will be fully acknowledged and promptly returned to their owners.
Please contact us at: office@bostonsynagogue.org and in the subject line cite: “anniversary.” Our telephone number is: (617) 523-0453. Our mailing address is: 55 Martha Road, Boston, MA 02114-1206.
If you are in contact with any other former members of the congregation who might help us with this project, feel free to pass this notice on to them.
And in advance, many thanks from The Boston Synagogue.
