The holiday season is a time to celebrate, connect, and give back to those who have given so much to our communities. This year, Jookender Community Initiatives is excited to announce a heartfelt new program: free holiday (Hanukkah and New Year) gifts for seniors!
We understand that the holidays can feel lonely or isolating for many seniors. That’s why we’re stepping up to ensure they feel loved, appreciated, and connected to the Greater Boston Jewish community—a community known for its resilience, strength, and generosity.
If you or someone you love could benefit from receiving a gift, we invite you to sign up! The process is simple—visit our online form. The deadline to sign up is Dec. 21, 2024, and our goal is to distribute all gifts between Dec. 22-31.
We’re also seeking volunteers (including high school students) eager to make a difference by helping us deliver these gifts to seniors. Your efforts will bring a smile, a sense of belonging, and joy to those who need it most. If you’re interested in volunteering, please get in touch with Irina Kovaleva at irina.kovalev1@gmail.com.
Seniors are the heart of our community, and they deserve to feel celebrated and included, especially during the holidays. This initiative is about more than just gifts; it’s about fostering connections and reminding our seniors that they are an integral part of the vibrant Jewish community of Greater Boston.
Together, we can ensure that no one feels forgotten this holiday season. Whether you’re signing up to receive a gift or volunteering to deliver one, your participation makes a meaningful impact.
Let’s spread joy, light, and love this holiday season!
