The team from Mamaleh’s has expanded into the test kitchen and events game with Mamaleh’s Kibitz Corner, just in time for summer. Here are seven things to know about their newest venture, located in Cambridge.

It’s a familiar space: It replaces Vincent’s, the team’s much-loved corner grocery, wine and brunch hangout. The location has gone through many iterations: Before Vincent’s, it was French bistro Café du Pays, also from the same group.

And it serves new spins on familiar foods: It hosts rotating, experimental pop-ups: This is your chance to try Jewish food with a unique spin. For the upcoming months, the focus is on vegan Jewish staples, like plant-based Reubens and carrot lox. Those happen Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

You can have a party there: They host special events—rent out the space for a bris, bridal shower or a group dinner party for up to 60 of your closest pals.

Or plan a fun night out: They plan to stage book readings and comedy nights.

They aren’t kosher, but they are kosher-style: They will keep dairy and meat separate, and they don’t offer pork or shellfish.

The “kibitz” spelling is intentional: Although it’s written many ways, the team consulted Wellesley College Jewish studies professor Josh Lambert to confirm the accuracy.

They host weekly Shabbat gatherings: Their first Shabbat social hour happens on Friday, May 31; get tickets on Resy.
