Temple Aliyah is a Conservative synagogue founded in 1964 by a small, dedicated group of families in Needham. Through the years, it has grown and prospered to encompass more than 400 member families. Our members come from Needham, Wellesley, Dover, Medfield, Westwood, Newton, Dedham, and other communities in the Greater Boston area, and even a few in New York, New Jersey, and Florida!
We are a dynamic and egalitarian congregation with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Under the leadership of Rabbi Leslie Gordon, we encourage our members to enrich their Jewish lives, to enhance their Jewish identities, and to engage in lifelong learning. Our spiritual, educational, and social action programs foster the values of Conservative Judaism and reflect our commitment to Torah (Jewish wisdom) and mitzvot (Jewish obligations). We support the broader Jewish community, Israel, and Jews worldwide.
