Havurah on the Hill (HOH) is a non-denominational, egalitarian minyan for Jews in their 20s and 30s in the Boston area. HOH meets at the Vilna Shul in Beacon Hill, one of the last remaining synagogues from the early 20th-century period of Jewish immigration, and hosts monthly Kabbalat Shabbat services and other special holiday celebrations throughout the year.
Our monthly Friday night Kabbalat celebrations include a non-denominational Shabbat service led by members of the community, a captivating speaker and a catered kosher dinner. Invited speakers share their thoughts on a topic of interest, which can include political, social justice, academic or entertainment topics.
HOH also holds various events throughout the year to mark Jewish holidays and celebrate those in our community who make our programming effective.
