The ritual bath, or mikvah, has always been the heart of any Jewish community for centuries. Due to the central mitzvot of Taharat Hamishpacha (family purity), the mikvah is an essential element in the growth and vibrancy of the Jewish population.
Since its inception in 1983, Chevrat Nashim is an organization entirely run by women and has been the only community-wide mikvah serving all the Jews of the South Shore. Chevrat Nashim has been a pioneer in empowering women both spiritually and physically. It has been the source of exceptional programming, and has run a mikvah that is committed to providing Jewish women with the most dignified immersion experience.
