Temple Emanuel of Andover will host the Essex Chamber Music Players (ECMP) for a Holocaust (“Yom HaShoah”) Remembrance Day Concert. The musicians will honor music of composers who perished in the Holocaust, and whose lives and music were suppressed by the Shoah.
ECMP musicians Barbara Kilduff (soprano), Michael Finegold (flute), Rebecca Mac (violin), Johnny Mok (cello), and Constantine Finehouse (piano) will accompany Cantor Rachel Reef-Simpson of Temple Emanuel. The music program will be narrated by David Derow of the ECMP committee. This group of talented musicians will pay tribute to composers who died or were killed in the Holocaust, including Wilhelm Rettich, Dick Kattenburg, Gideon Klein, Ilse Weber, Zigmund Schul, Hannah Szenes, and Leo Smith.
