Level: Students new to Yiddish or those who know a few basics but want a structured start to learning anew in an in-person class. Also recommended for Duolingo learners looking for a structured introduction to grammar, conversation, and culture.
Let’s learn Yiddish — lomir zikh lernen yidish! This course introduces students to the fundamentals of Yiddish conversation, reading, and grammar through highly-interactive games, songs, activities, and short texts.
Students who don’t yet know the Hebrew alphabet will be asked to join the class a half hour early for the first several sessions
Class takes place on Zoom. There will be no class on October 31st.
