Shir Hadash Reconstructionist Havurah of Newton invites you to join us on March 4th to enjoy a very unique Purim Celebration and Social Action Auction!
The evening will include costumes, reading of the Megillah, plenty of Hamen booing, delicious food and fun, friendly people! In addition, you will have a chance to donate and/or bid on some wonderful services or incredible items which you are sure to cherish for many years to come.
The best part is that along with the fun, all the money raised will be donated to local charities which assist people during these cold winter months by providing food, housing and heat!
We are a small, Reconstructionist congregation committed to a welcoming and egalitarian approach to Jewish practice. We invite you to participate in our rotating schedule of rabbi-led and member-led Shabbat morning services and Friday night potluck dinners each month. We also offer adult education, social action, and social activities throughout the year.
Shir Hadash meets in the Social Hall of the Lutheran Church of the Newtons, 1310 Centre Street, Newton Centre, a short walk from the Newton Centre T stop, across from the municipal parking lot adjacent to Learning Express and Pure Barre.
