M2: The Institute for Experiential Jewish Education is bringing the Yamim Project to the Greater Boston community! We are looking for educators from each of our partner organizations, schools and synagogues to register for this interactive, day-long learning lab experience, where they will work with other educators from across our community to explore designing impactful Yom Ha’Zikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut programs for our institutions in a post-October 7 world.
Together we will:
- Reflect on the significance of Yom HaZikaron and Yom HaAtzmaut this year and process our experiences since October 7th.
- Learn about the role of collective memory, ritual and peoplehood.
- Work alongside peers in a collaborative environment that unlocks creativity and fosters a sense of shared purpose.
- Gain access to ready to use art, videos, texts, rituals, and more to use in planning your own ceremonies, lessons or discussions
- Walk away with ideas, plans and materials to plan compelling programs for your schools, synagogues and communities.
Due to limited space, we are capping the number of participants at 2-3 per organization. Participants should be the people directly responsible for creating and implementing programming for Yom HaZikaron and Yom HaAtzmaut. This program is being provided free of charge, thanks to funding from the Beker Foundation, Prizmah, and CJP.
