Join us for “The Israeli and Palestinian Diasporas: Personal Reflections,” a program to mark the publication of “The Modern Israeli and Palestinian Diasporas: A Comparative Approach” (University of Texas Press), edited by professor Nahum Karlinsky.

At this book launch, two prominent authors who contributed to the edited volume—Israeli-born professor Omer Bartov, a renowned scholar of Holocaust and genocide studies at Brown University, and famed Palestinian novelist, screenwriter, and essayist Sayed Kashua—will reflect on how being outside their homeland, especially during tumultuous times, impacts their lives, scholarship, and artistic work.

The program will be chaired by Michael Zank, professor of religion, Jewish studies, and medieval studies at Boston University.
