The agunah (“chained woman,” a woman whose husband refuses to grant her a divorce) crisis is one of the great tragedies of contemporary Jewry. But how did it come to be? And what ways exist to try to solve it?
In this series, we’ll look at the halakhic literature that surrounds solving the modern-day agunah crisis, as well as hear about Rabbi Glass’s experiences on the frontlines when he worked as an assistant director of advocacy at ORA: The Organization for the Resolution of Agunot.
