CJP warmly invites you to a panel discussion on the 2015 Greater Boston Jewish Community Study and Strategic Planning Community Input Session. As a supporter and friend of CJP, we hope you will join us for this interactive conversation featuring:

Gil Preuss, Executive Vice President, CJP
Karyn Cohen Leviton, Director of Jewish Life and Israel, one8 Foundation
Rabbi Daniel Lehmann, President, Hebrew College
(See bios below)

Our panel of local leaders will guide a discussion of the 2015 Greater Boston Jewish Community Study. Conducted every 10 years, the study provides us with critical information about our community and is an essential resource for everyone who cares about its future. If you have not yet had a chance to read our Overview, which highlights the most important results of the study, we strongly encourage you to do so.

Following the community study discussion, the second half of the evening will be a facilitated session seeking your valuable input for CJP’s strategic planning process, including what you see as the greatest challenges or opportunities facing the community in the years ahead. Your insights are critically important as we plan for the future and build a strong community for generations to come.

Our speakers:

Gil Preuss, Executive Vice President at CJP
Gil Preuss oversees both the Planning and Development functions at CJP. He has launched a $45 million initiative to improve Jewish day school education in Greater Boston, directed CJP’s 2008 Strategic Plan, and developed new planning and allocation processes to meet the immediate and long-term needs of the Jewish community. Gil is leading CJP’s 2017 strategic planning process.

Karyn Cohen Leviton, Director of Jewish Life and Israel at one8 Foundation
Karyn Cohen Leviton joined the one8 Foundation in March 2013. She leads the foundation’s work in Jewish continuity, Israel, and special projects in the US and is responsible for identifying great organizations and leaders, developing grants, and providing strategic and tactical support to help organizations increase their impact in significant and sustainable ways. Prior to joining one8, Karyn was Associate Vice President of Strategy Implementation at CJP, where she managed strategy and grant making for engaging key populations in Jewish life, and led measurement efforts and other strategic projects.

Rabbi Daniel Lehmann, President of Hebrew College
