Join Congregation B’nai Torah’s own Ba’al Tekiah (“Shofar Master”) Andrew Levine and learn the ancient musical art of sounding the shofar.
Participants will have two opportunities to learn how to blow the shofar: one prior to Shabbat services and one afterward during the oneg.
There is no fee to attend, and the public is encouraged to learn about the shofar, which is sounded each year to commemorate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, and Yom Kippur, the annual Day of Atonement.
No experience is necessary. All you need is an open mind and lots of hot air!
