Kol Shira Partnership Minyan is honored to host Rabba Sara Hurwitz, the co-founder and president of Yeshiva Maharat, as our inaugural scholar-in-residence. The Shabbat will include Friday night services, Friday night dinner, Saturday morning services, Shabbat lunch and a Saturday night melave malka. Please join us for some or all of the events. 9 a.m.: Shabbat morning services
Childcare: Please bring your children! Our minyan engages older children (boys and girls) in appropriate parts of the minyan.
We have groups for children age 5-12 starting at 10:30.
12 p.m.: Lunch and Learn: “When Being Right May be Wrong: Tzedek Without Mishpat”
Dairy lunch.
**While the lunch is now sold out, we still encourage people to join us for the morning services, which does not require an RSVP.**
As someone who strives for justice, to always try to do right, are there times where being right may be wrong? We will look at biblical and rabbinic texts that explore the question of whether justice is to be pursued at all costs or whether there are ethical limits.
Please note that an RSVP is required for Shabbat lunch, but not for services.
