Nicka Smith is a professional photographer, speaker, host and documentarian with more than 20 years of experience as a genealogist. She hosts BlackProGen LIVE, an innovative web show about genealogy and family history for people of color. In addition, she has been an active board member of many genealogical societies and has managed the Alameda County Youth Ancestral Project, which taught several hundred young people the value of family history.
