New England premiere. “Remember Baghdad” tells the forgotten story of Baghdad’s once flourishing 2,600-year old Jewish community that was destroyed in just one generation. The film looks back at a time when Iraqi Jews lived peacefully with their Muslim and Christian neighbors in an economically and culturally booming city. One exiled Iraqi, Edwin Shuker, returns to Baghdad, a city now unrecognizable, with plans to buy a house. He hopes to plant a seed for the future of the city he once loved and to declare, “the Jews have not all gone.”
