Mosaic is happy to announce that our final religious observation of the school year will be in partnership with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKON). “Religious Observations” offer an opportunity for us to live interfaith dialogue in a very special and tangible way, and they are a favorite of our Mosaic community.
Visiting a house of worship or a religious gathering brings the tradition alive. Hearing special music, participating in ritual, being within the art and architecture of an inner sanctum, sensing candlelight and incense, experiencing the quiet and spaciousness, feeling the community…there is no substitute for being there.
Youth will have the opportunity to take a tour of the temple, observe the traditions, and have a Q&A session with the faith leader. Visiting each other’s “spiritual homes” has long been an important practice within Mosaic. For example, we have observed Jewish, Christian, and Muslim services in the past.
