Join Molly Kazin Marshall from 18Doors Boston and chef and dietician extraordinaire Micah Siva to make some delicious cookies inspired by the upcoming Jewish holiday of Tu BiShvat!
While we think any time is a good time for cookies, this “everything cookie” recipe features many of the foods we traditionally eat on Tu BiShvat. Micah will guide us through the recipe step-by-step, and we’ll have plenty of time to chat while we’re baking. Whether you’ve heard of the holiday before or you just really love cookies, we look forward to spending an afternoon together.
This event is for interfaith couples in their 20s and 30s. Ingredients list and the full recipe will be emailed to participants upon registration.
Molly Kazin Marshall has worked with out-of-school-time programming and youth-serving nonprofits throughout the Greater Boston area prior to joining 18Doors. Molly enjoys connecting interfaith couples with each other and to resources and tools to engage in Jewish culture and traditions. One of her favorite things to do is create unique programs to introduce Jewish culture and concepts in out-of-the-box ways, and she will never turn down a good ice-breaker.
Micah Siva is a trained chef, registered dietitian, recipe writer, food photographer and Jewish cook. Her love for food began in her grandmother’s kitchen, where she learned about the importance of food in celebrating holidays, bringing family together and keeping traditions alive. She strives to modernize the foods she grew up on, adding her own unique spin on everything from matzah balls to latkes. Through her personal blog, NutritionxKitchen, she shares delicious plant-forward recipes that are chef-created, dietitian approved and guaranteed delicious.
