The book of Samuel I begins with the Jewish state experiencing unprecedented corruption. It ends with the preparation of the building of the temple. We will study together the opening chapters of Samuel I in order to understand how this transition unfolds.

Rabbi Seth Farber received his rabbinic ordination from Yeshiva University and his Ph.D. from Hebrew University. He is the founder of ITIM: The Jewish Advocacy Center and the rabbi of Kehilat Netivot in Ra’anana, Israel, where he lives with his wife, Michelle, and their five children. Rabbi Farber recently received the Israeli Immigration Ministry award for outstanding contribution to Israeli society. In 1992, Rabbi Farber co-founded Ma’ayan with Debbie Kram.
