Please join us for the second lecture of our Understanding Israel @ 75 series, given by professor Derek Penslar. The program is meant for teens and adults. In this lecture, we will explore how the State of Israel was the product of transformative events in both Jewish and world history during the first half of the 20th century.
Understanding Israel’s creation through a global lens helps us better understand why Israel has always attracted so much attention and why the current Israel-Hamas war dominates the headlines.
After Dr. Penslar’s talk, we will conclude the program with prayers for Israel and for the hostages that remain in captivity.
