No matter your background, religious practice, or political leanings, this has been a challenging year. The events of October 7 and beyond have caused enormous pain and dislocation. This month, JF&CS is offering three opportunities for connection and support—a time to reflect, remember, and care for one another as we reach this difficult anniversary.

These small Zoom-based groups will offer a safe space for participants to share their thoughts, feelings, and struggles. Despite our differences, the goal is to listen deeply and to be heard in return. The groups will be co-facilitated by Rabbi Allison Berry, director of the Betty Ann Greenbaum Miller Center for Jewish Healing at JF&CS, and Danielle Darish, LICSW.

If you have any questions, please contact Rabbi Allison Berry at aberry@jfcsboston.org or 781-693-5619.

These community support circles are modeled on a pilot initiative, Circles of Connection, that aims to build our capacity to care for and support one another during this time of increasing stress, trauma, polarization, and rising antisemitism. Circles of Connection is a partnership of JF&CS, JCC Greater Boston, and GPS Group Peer Support, supported by CJP’s Center for Combating Antisemitism, the Beker Foundation, and the Ruderman Foundation. Keep an eye out for more support circles coming to the Greater Boston Jewish community this winter.
