JF&CS is offering three support circles for the community in recognition of the anniversary of Oct. 7. The circles will be co-facilitated by Rabbi Allison Berry (JF&CS’s director of the Betty Ann Greenbaum Miller Center for Jewish Healing) and Danielle Darish, LICSW, a volunteer group facilitator in our Visiting Moms program and member of the JF&CS Board of Directors.
No matter your background, religious practice or political leanings, it has been a challenging year. The events of Oct. 7 have caused us to question so much of what we thought we understood about the world and our own identities. Please join us for a circle of connection and support. This is a time to reflect, remember and care for one another as we reach this difficult anniversary.
A Circle of Support is a small group facilitated by trained support group specialists that creates a safe space for each participant to share without judgment their thoughts, feelings and struggles. Despite our differences, the goal is to listen deeply and to be heard in return. We invite you to join us and become part of this caring community. During our groups, our goal is to create a space where everyone feels respected. Confidentiality and care for the privacy of all participants is also critical.
