Join Kerem Shalom of Concord for “Novels of Bravery” with Marcella Pixley. Marcella, author and Kerem Shalom member, will discuss the importance of fiction that portrays courageous narratives surrounding families in crisis and the inspiration behind her novel, “Trowbridge Road.” It was a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection, a finalist for the Massachusetts Book Award, the Golden Dome Award, and one of 10 YA titles long-listed for a National Book Award in 2020. Marcella will also read sneak previews from her forthcoming novel-in-verse, “Neshama,” a Jewish ghost story about intergenerational trauma, bravery and forgiveness.
Complementary signed copies of “Trowbridge Road” will be handed out to the first five attendees.
