Join Rabbi-Cantor Michael McCloskey for a seven-session adult education course entitled “Shir La-Shalom: Music and the Art of Waging Peace.” Participants will explore Jewish sources (biblical, classical rabbinic, medieval, and modern) on the intersection of music and peace from a holistic perspective.

Class members will engage with ideas, writings (scholarly and creative), and real-life experiences about music as it relates to communication, sibling-hood, cultivation of equanimity, trauma, memory, and catharsis, diversity, the particular and universal, and the building blocks of cultural change.
