Make Your Personal Impact in Israel Over Winter Break

Next Event: December 24, 2017 Free
JNF Break

What are you doing this December 24 to January 1 or December 30 to January 7? You could participate in the Jewish National Fund (JNF) Alternative Winter Break and make a personal impact in Israel. This program gives Jewish young adults, ages 18-24, the opportunity for a week of community service in southern Israel, a chance to connect to the land and people of Israel in a meaningful way.

Using an easy, online fundraising platform to communicate by email and social media to family and friends, participants are responsible for raising a minimum of $950 for JNF projects. $500 will be subsidized for students from New England.

All funds raised will go directly toward JNF’s Blueprint Negev campaign in the South of Israel, which supports Israel’s newest generation of pioneers in developing, inhabiting and preserving the Negev Desert.

Your trip is covered by JNF donors, including your Israel flight, land travel and the program itself. Participants are responsible for their own round-trip domestic transportation to JFK airport in New York City.

JNF recognizes that the idea of fundraising can be intimidating. Keep in mind that your efforts are helping to achieve the vision of building a stronger homeland for the Jewish people. Also, donations are fully tax-deductible and go directly to the service projects.

At JNF.org/break you’ll find helpful fundraising ideas and tips on the best use of social media, along with a list of what to pack. The website also provides additional information about the Winter Break program. The deadline for this program is October 30. For more information, New Englanders can contact Gali Gordon, JNF Campaign Executive, at GGordon@jnf.org.
