All are welcome to attend the monthly leadership meetings of the Jewish Climate Action Network-Massachusetts (JCAN-MA).

This month’s meeting will feature the following:

Facing the second half of this crucial decade, can we still meet climate goals? After a decade as a leader in community-based climate activism and a career in clean energy, Fred Davis will share a forward-looking view. Change is constant, as climate itself continues to demonstrate, so can we humans still make transitions quickly enough? It’s almost 2025/5785, and the question will soon be moot, one way or the other. With so much going on, which way to look? Whatever your climate concern, whatever activist community, we hope you will appreciate this well-informed yet frank assessment, informed both by faith and first principles.

About JCAN: The landscape for activism seemed sparse in 2013 when a few concerned Jews came together to consider what to do about the “emerging” climate problem. They ultimately got to work organizing, and the Jewish Climate Action Network has since engaged and motivated thousands of Jews in Massachusetts and around the country in advocacy, spiritual resilience, and decarbonization work. Today, JCAN is one part of the deep, diverse and fast-changing climate movement.
