Join us in hearing about one man’s escape from Iraq and his lifelong commitment to fighting for the preservation of Jewish life and roots in Iraq.
Edwin Shuker grew up in Baghdad until 1971, when he reached the U.K. as a refugee and was granted asylum. He now divides his time between London and Dubai. Shuker is one of few Iraqi Jews who have had the chance to go back to visit their homeland since their refuge.
Featuring art by Ariel Basson Freiberg, an artist born in Texas of Iraqi/Israeli background, who uses her art to explore her family refugee narrative.
