Join us in welcoming Major General Amir Avivi to Ahavath Torah Congregation for a discussion on Israel, in memory of Susan Hausman.

General Avivi is the founder and chairman of HaBitchonistim/Israel Defense and Security Forum. During his service, General Avivi held a series of senior roles in the IDF, including Deputy Comptroller of the Security Forces, Director of the Office of the Chief of Staff, Deputy Commander of the Gaza Division, Commander of the Sagi Division, Commander of Batallion 605 and Commander of the School of Combat Engineering.

What is IDSF?
The Israel Defense and Security Forum (IDSF) is a large group of reserve officers and operatives across the IDF who are dedicated to the belief that Israel’s national security must be anchored in its ability to protect itself, by itself, while actively thwarting threats to its safety. IDSF’s aim is to protect Jewish national sovereignty in the Land and State of Israel.

What is HaBitchonistim?
HaBitchonistim counters antisemitism and anti-Israel propaganda, recognizing these as direct threats to the legitimacy and security of the State of Israel. Members are involved in research, public policy, education, media engagement and advising.
