Join Zach Teutsch of Values Added Financial for a guided discussion and exploration of how and when to combine finances. After exploring the “meaning” of money for each of you and your partner, we will turn toward the questions:
- Should we merge money, keep it separate or somewhere in between?
- If we do some merging, what sorts of purchasing or other financial decisions would we want to know about or discuss before the other one takes action?
- If we do some merging, who will be responsible for making sure bills are paid on time?
- Which paychecks should go where? Should we keep accounts on autopay?
- How should we approach debt? Should we approach it together?
Together you will craft experiments and learn a system for reflection to figure out what works best for your family.

Before he launched Values Added Financial, Zach developed the first national financial empowerment programs in the labor movement and reached several hundred thousand union members.
