This feels like a fragile and vulnerable time to be Jewish. Living as a Jew in the diaspora now may feel different than it did before Oct. 7. We’re navigating fear, Jewish pride, a sense of community, loneliness and betrayal, anger, anxiety, and new forms of Jewish identity. Sometimes all in the same day.
We’re taking a minute to explore these feelings together with experts who can share wisdom, stories, and insights, holding us through our collective processing. Rabbi Dorothy Richman shares ways to fill our spiritual reservoirs to navigate these (and other) challenging times. Chanie Chien will talk about facing fear. Rabbi Amy Wallk, Ph.D., will address the “December Dilemma” that hits different this year. Mollie Andron will explore new conversations around identity and “peoplehood.” We’ll have the option to process through creativity with Rabbi Emily Meyer (no art experience required; just bring a pen, paper, and markers if you’ve got them).
Come be with us. This is a lot for any of us to navigate alone. It’s better to be together. Come when you can, stay till you can’t. But, come. Our learning is incomplete without you.
