At our Passover seder, we are supposed to tell the story of our liberation. But if all the voices shared are male, we are missing half the story! How can we have a full exploration of liberation without half our voices around the table? So much of the Torah that is shared at Passover seders comes from men; we want Passover Torah that has been taught or written by women. In this HerTorah gathering, our teachers will bring female Torah voices into the conversation; then you can bring them back to your own seder tables this year.

Our exceptional educators, Sara Wolkenfeld and Danielle Kranjec, will share Passover Torah by women throughout history, from medieval times to modern day and explain why including their voices is critical. Join us in bringing more of our voices around the table.

Expect an evening rich with Passover Torah from women’s voices so that you can create new traditions where those voices become part of the seder, too. As always, SVIVAH welcomes all those who wish to be included in a circle of Jewish women.
