Water has always been a conduit for transformation in Jewish ritual. It cleanses, connects, and sanctifies. Both taharah (ritual preparation for burial) and mikveh (ritual immersion) are deeply centered on water and care, offering moments of profound connection in times of transition.

These commonalities draw a line of shared purpose between two deeply connected movements: the Chevra Kadisha and mikveh communities.

To honor that connection, Kavod v’Nichum and the Rising Tide Network, in partnership with Mayyim Hayyim, Community Hevra Kadisha of Greater Boston and North Shore Hevra Kadisha, are coming together for a day of learning, community, and collaboration — and we hope you’ll join us!

“Flowing Together: Water, Ritual, and Sacred Community” will take place in-person and online (with options for hybrid participation!).
