Join the Vilna Shul to celebrate the Jewish High Holidays together! Family services bring children and families together with an interactive, song-based holiday singing and ritual. Service ends with the blowing of the shofar. The family services are designed for children ages 10 and younger. Children must be accompanied by an adult. On the second day of Rosh Hashanah, join the Vilna at the Charles River for a special Tashlich service!
Generous underwriting from Dr. Daniel Bley and Margi Gad allows us to offer family services at no cost to participants! Additional donations allow us to offer more programs at lower costs.
Sunday, Sep. 9:
- 5:30 p.m.: Erev Rosh Hashanah services with musician Sagit Zilberman. Sagit will lead songs with unique instruments from around the globe. Please bring a drum or other instrument!
Monday, Sep. 10:
- 9:30 a.m.: Rosh Hashanah services with musician Stephen Brickman
Tuesday, Sep. 11:
- 4:30 p.m: Meet at the Vilna and walk to the Charles River
- 5 p.m.: Tashlich (by the Community Boating Docks), followed by Minchah
Join the Vilna to cast your sins of the previous year in a guided, spiritual Tashlich ritual. Please bring bread to throw. If you join us at the Charles River, please meet us by the Community Boating docks.
Families are welcome to stay for Minchah or depart after Tashlich. Tashlich is weather dependent. In case of inclement weather, Tashlich will not occur and Minchah will be inside at the Vilna at 5:30 p.m. Please check the Vilna website on Sep. 11 for a weather update.
Please note that clicking “yes” on this invitation does not register you for the event. You must visit the registration link and enter your information on the Vilna Shul website in order to be considered registered.
