Start off Shabbat morning right with a quiet meditation circle with friends related to the weekly Torah portion led by experienced meditators. The instructors intend to create a safe space for people to connect with others and go within to their souls to find inner wisdom, strength and peace. Free and open to the entire community.
Instructors: Rachel Melemed, LICSW has studied Jewish meditation over the years with Rabbi Sendor and Rebbetzin Channah Schaefer. She has incorporated the use of the breath, meditation, relaxation techniques and mindfulness into her work with clients in her psychotherapy practice of 30 years.
Susie Rosenwasser, M.Ed., Reiki Master, has led meditation and healing workshops and services in local synagogues, senior care facilities, and hospitals. She developed Chesed Healing Touch to integrate healing and energy work with Jewish tradition and wisdom.
Susan Cetlin, Ph.D. has studied and practiced Jewish meditation for many years. In her private practice as a psychologist she utilizes mind/body techniques to help with healing, coping and resilience.
Marjie Bernard is the founder of Aleph Tree Yoga and integrates Torah study and meditation with yoga poses.
Nancy Lord has practiced and studied meditation and contemplative practices for many years.
