Join Duke University student, author, speaker and mental health advocate Sophie Riegel for a conversation on the importance of mental health awareness, how to ask for the help you need and how we can work together to change our language to decrease stigma around mental health.
Sophie is the former president of the board of directors of Here.Now., a Jewish mental-health advocacy organization and strives to make a difference in peoples’ lives.
Moderated by Rachel Fredman and Annie Overbaugh, JTI peer inclusion fellows.
Sophie Riegel is a rising sophomore at Duke University and is a professional author and speaker. She is the author of “Don’t Tell Me To Relax: One Teen’s Journey to Survive Anxiety (And How You Can Too)” and “Overcoming Overthinking: 36 Ways to Tame Anxiety for Work, School, and Life.” Sophie is a mental-health advocate who also has four different mental illnesses.
