Chuppah, the wedding canopy, symbolizes the sacred union of two souls and the surrounding community’s support. In this spirit, we are bringing our community together to create a beautiful and meaningful chuppah that will be used in upcoming wedding ceremonies.
Contest details:
Objective: To create a chuppah that embodies the themes of love, unity and diversity.
Materials: Feel free to use any materials you prefer, whether fabric, wood or any other artistic medium suitable for washing and knitting together.
Guidelines: The 12×12 piece should be created, considering that only 10×10 will be visible. Most interested, 25 pieces stitched together will make a beautiful chuppah!
Submission deadline: Please submit your chuppah piece no later than Oct. 30, 2023, by sending the original to Jookender Community Initiatives, Inc., 650 Worcester Road, Unit 102, Framingham, MA 01702.
