Ma’yan Tikvah’s High Holiday services are unique because they are primarily outdoors, with opportunities for walks and services. Guided walks will focus on connecting to the natural world and the themes of the day and will be led by Rabbi Katy Allen, education director Stephanie Kennedy and teacher Lizzy Cantor.
The outdoor service will include Torah reading and key traditional prayers and discussion, as well as Yizkor.
All ages are welcome to both walks and the service. The schedule for the day is as follows:
- 9:30-11 a.m.: Walks
- 11:30-1 p.m.: Outdoor service
- 2:30-4 p.m.: Walks
The size of groups for the walks will be limited, so you will be asked to provide your first and second choice of times when you register. Because everything is outdoors, Ma’yan Tikvah’s High Holiday plans are subject to change due to weather. You will be informed of contingency plans after registering and will be notified of any changes.
A food drive will benefit the Grow Clinic at Boston City Hospital.
