Dr. Tammy Bottner will be reading from her new book, “Among the Reeds: The True Story of How a Family Survived the Holocaust.” The book, an Amazon bestseller, recounts the astonishing way the author’s grandparents saved themselves and their children in Belgium during WWII. Readers say the book reads like a novel but is all the more fascinating for being true. A unique aspect of the book is the discussion of epigenetics: How the trauma the author’s predecessors experienced may have been passed down to her through her very genes.
This will be a special evening as the two children in the story, Bobby and Irene, will both be in attendance.
Following the reading there will be an informal discussion.
