Join us for a fun evening with new people, craft beers and shesh-besh as it’s called in Hebrew and Arabic.

israel360 has partnered with Moishe House Cambridge, Moishe House Brookline and the Boston South End Moishe House to bring you an evening of discovering how games can be a force for good in the world.

We’ve invited Zaki Djemal, co-founder of NGO Jerusalem Double, to share how he brought 5,000 Jews and Arabs together in Jerusalem to play backgammon and connect people across deep political divides. Check out Zaki’s TEDxWhiteCity talk entitled “Game Changer: How Backgammon Will Bring Peace to the Middle East.”

Then we’ll break out the boards and try our hand at one of the world’s oldest games. No previous experience is required.

This event is free of charge, but space is limited, and registration is required. The first 50 guests to arrive will take home their own backgammon set.

Hearty apps, beer and other beverages will be provided. Dietary laws will be observed.
