Avenue of the Giants (Promotional still)

For more than 50 years, Auschwitz survivor Herbert Heller (Stephen Lang, “Avatar”) has kept his miraculous escape from the death march a secret, even from his own family. That is until he meets Abbey (Elsie Fisher, “Eighth Grade”), a young teenager who has had her own brush with pain and death and inspires Herbert to open up. The two exchange their stories, and an unlikely friendship is born. Through sharing personal traumas, Herbert and Abbey become allies in healing with a bond that gives them a renewed sense of purpose. Based on a true story.

Followed by a conversation with writer/director Finn Taylor, actor Luke David Blumm and producer Jeanine Samuel.
