Temple Emanu-El is pleased to welcome bestselling author Tova Mirvis, who will speak about her upcoming memoir, The Book of Separation.
Ms. Mirvis’ fascinating memoir traces her divorce and her estrangement and ultimate departure from the Orthodox community in which she grew up. Publishers Weekly said her account of how she and her children navigate the secular world for the first time “makes for an introspective and fascinating story.” Ms. Mirvis is also the author of the novels Visible City, The Outside World, and The Ladies Auxiliary.
A continental breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m., and the presentation will follow at 10. A selection of her books will be available for purchase and signing after the program. A donation of $10 per person is suggested.
Last minute walk-ins are welcome, but participants are asked to help with planning by contacting the temple office at Nancy@TempleEmanu-El.org or 978-373-3861.
