Temple Emanu-El in Haverhill is pleased to announce that Jenna Blum, bestselling author of “Those Who Save Us,” will speak about her latest novel, “The Lost Family.”
“The Lost Family,” a historical saga that explores the reverberations of World War II across generations through the depiction of a German Holocaust survivor turned New York chef and his second family, “dramatizes the lingering effects of the war through the intertwining stories of families past and present, personalizing the themes of survivor guilt and shame [while] also injecting surprising glimpses of humor and hope” (Booklist, Starred Review).
Copies of “The Lost Family” and “Those Who Save Us” will be available for purchase and signing following the program.
A continental breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m., followed by the presentation at 10 a.m. Please RSVP by contacting the temple office at Nancy@TempleEmanu-El.org or 978-373-3861 by Wednesday, Jan. 23. Walk-ins will also be welcome.
