Gideon Ben-Ami, the Israeli founder of Pesia’s Kitchen, will speak at the Walnut Street Minyan.
Ben-Ami is a lifelong entrepreneur devoting his life to getting food to Israelis who cannot afford to buy it for themselves and their families. Twelve years ago, drawing on his decades of experience managing restaurants, he started rescuing large quantities of food that were being thrown out, delivering it to those desperately in need. Now, after 550+ days of war, social disruption, trauma, and high food inflation, that need is even more acute.
Today, Pesia’s Kitchen distributes millions of pounds of nutritious rescued produce each year. It recently launched a new innovative program that has the potential to deliver many millions more to difficult-to-reach populations all over the country at an incredibly low cost. Those who have witnessed this project first-hand describe it as a true game-changer.
Please join us for an inspiring evening.
